What Information Do We Collect?
We collect information from you when you use our photo filters:
- Camera (Pictures): Granting camera permission allows the user to upload any picture straight from the app, you can safely deny camera permissions for this app.
- Photo Gallery (Pictures): Granting photo gallery access allows the user to upload any picture from their photo gallery, you can safely deny photo gallery access for this app.
- Face Data: Information about faces in the images and videos you upload, including information that estimates the location and shape of facial features (e.g., face data). This face data may be used for enhancing your images and videos or generating AI avatars. Depending on the applicable law of your jurisdiction, face data may be considered biometric data.
Face Data Policy
1.1 Special reminder for your attention, [Movia] Collected face data
We analyze your photos to find the characteristic points of the face in the photo (such as eyes, nose, mouth points) for face processing.
We do not collect facial data. After the analysis process is completed, all data will be deleted and no data will be saved. Refusing to provide the above information may prevent you from using core functions, but it will not affect the normal use of other functions and services.
1.2 The purpose and process of collecting facial data
We need to find the facial feature points (such as eyes, nose, mouth points). The complete process is:
- You will submit the selected photos to our server in an encrypted manner;
- Server analyzes your photos and applies it to the content you choose;
- After the synthesis is completed, the server will return the final rendering effect to you through the application;
- The final effect of the synthesis will be temporarily stored in encrypted storage for your timely viewing and saving, and will be permanently deleted after 24 hours.
After the synthesis process is completed, we will immediately delete the face images you submitted to the server.
How Do We Use The Information We Collect?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
- To personalize your experience
- To improve our app offerings
- To improve customer service
- To process transactions
- To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other feature
- To send periodic emails
- To enhance photos and videos: We use face data to enhance the photos and videos you upload or to generate AI avatars. We do not process face data for identification or authentication purposes.
When does Movia use end user information from third parties?
Movia will collect End User Data necessary to provide the Movia services to our customers.
End users may voluntarily provide us with information they have made available on social media websites. If you provide us with any such information, we may collect publicly available information from the social media websites you have indicated.
When does Movia use customer information from third parties?
We receive some information from third parties when you contact us. For example, when you submit your email address to us to show interest in becoming a Movia customer, we receive information from a third party that provides automated fraud detection services to Movia.
Do we share the information we collect with third parties?
We may share the information that we collect, both personal and non-personal, with trusted third parties for purposes such as hosting, database storage, analytics, payment processing, and technical support.
For certain features such as the Caricature filter and AI Headshot filter, we may share your RGB image and face data with a trusted third-party API provider, which deletes them after processing.
